What a interesting, yet disturbing read about a small town known for creating and bringing up serial killers. The idea for this story was so interesting that I was immediately drawn into is gritty, dark world. It is an easy graphic novel to get caught up in. The story was paced really well that I did not lose interest & wanted to finish to the next page to see what happened. I just couldn't put it down. Looking forward to continuing with this series very soon!

This book has a pretty interesting concept: why have so many serial killers come from one place? The book is very well written, the characters are diverse and intriguing. And the serial killers in the story are all unique and have their own morbid obsessions. This first volume sets up the mystery of the story very well, and does a really good job of drawing the reader in.The art, to me, was the weak point. It was still really good, but I had a few issues with it. Some of the panels were erratic and sloppy, and their were inconsistencies with some of the characters.I would recommend this to fans of the creative team, and fans of serial killer/ mystery stories.

I bought this title just because i was curious and it looked like a good read.So i started reading it and i could not put it down after that. The story is very interesting and keeps you drawn in wanting to discover the mystery that only increases with literally every page being turned. I highly recommend this title to my friends and fellow readers. I am buying the second volume ASAP!!

Fast-paced, plot-driven, mystery horror tale with well-developed characters and excellent art and coloring. Intense, engaging story. Highly recommended.

I received the graphic novel on the 15th. It arrived super quickly, and in mint condition! The storyline itself is...quirky. It's definitely no Crossed, but it's no Low, either. I'm only a few pages in, so I can't say much for the story yet, but the artwork is wonderful! It has manga-like linework, with the bubble-art style of nu-age horror.

Not bad. A bonafide mystery. I'm going to keep going.

Given all that, it's difficult to understand the decision to present Maimonides's legacy primarily through the lens of his work as a physician. The 12th century was a time of stagnation in the history of medicine, and the author himself concedes that Maimonides contributed very little that was new or innovative to the field. By contrast, his jurisprudential magnum opus, the Mishne Torah, constituted a groundbreaking work in its own day and continues to be authoritative almost a millennium later. Although Nuland acknowledges this in a chapter on Maimonides's religious scholarship, it is dwarfed by the overarching concern with medicine—which seems the primary interest of Nuland, a clinical professor of surgery at Yale. The author does a serviceable job of stitching together this slight, popular biography of the larger-than-life Maimonides, but his writing is marred by an overwrought prologue and some glib generalizations. Maimonides was devoted to sustaining the Jews as a people, and out of that, to human life generally. If he was otherwise a physician of his time, bound by the authority of Hippocrates and Galen, he believed that reason and observation should also inform prescription.
